Other than the odd little thing that strikes me now and then, I've stuck mostly in my prose comfort zone. I do remember that I had more fun with structured poetry. For example, the challenge of trying to make what I wanted to say fit into iambic pentameter and the rhyming conventions of different types of sonnets was something I enjoyed, whereas I would get lost trying to write in free verse. That probably says something about the way my brain works, but we won't go there.
I only wrote Haiku once or twice and I don't remember what I wrote (only that it probably wasn't that great). However, my friend and fellow member of Alchemy is not only a fab poet and a great Haiku writer, he's been kind enough to share his knowledge on his blog. So I might just have another go, just for fun, to see what I can come up with. If I do come up with anything that's not too embarrassing, I might post it at a later time. Meanwhile, take a >>>look<<<, you never know, you might learn something!
